Parker Hudnut has served as ICEF’s Chief Executive Officer since 2011. Mr. Hudnut’s passion for the ICEF community has only grown stronger over time as he has led the organization through difficult financial challenges and ensured the organization is on a path toward greater success and opportunities for all students and families. With his private sector experience and an MBA from Wharton, Mr. Hudnut is determined to create educational opportunities for every student no matter what zip code they reside. From the Los Angeles Unified School District to charter organizations, he has delivered educational results for students. |
Shuron Owens, Chief Academic Officer BIO
Shuron Owens, Chief Academic Officer, leads ICEF’s Instructional Teams. As a career educator, Ms. Owens has experience as a teacher, Instructional Coach, Principal and now District Leader. Her experience in curriculum, literacy and equity help ICEF to reach all students and ensure we prioritize student needs. |
Shelby Pealer, Vice President of Strategy BIO
Shelby Pealer is ICEF's Vice President of Strategy. She has 8 years of administrative and in-classroom experience, providing inspirational leadership to teachers, support personnel, and administrators and instructionally effective services for students with exceptional needs in ethnically diverse urban environments. Prior to joining ICEF in 2019, Shelby served as the Program Director and Curriculum and Instructional Specialist at a Non Public Agency in Inglewood, CA providing intensive behavioral interventions and supports to students. She has taught K-5 in Chicago, IL and supported teachers as an instructional coach for Resource Specialists as a Teach for America corp member and alumni. She holds a BA degree in Special and Early Childhood Education and a MA in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism Spectrum disorders along with a certification in ABA. |
Reco Sanders, Managing Director of Operations BIO
Reco Sanders is ICEF's Managing Director of Operations. He has over 10 years of operations and program experience in public schools throughout Los Angeles. Prior to joining ICEF in 2023, Reco served as the Founding Business Operations Manager for a charter public school in South Gate, CA. In this role, he oversaw every element of day-to-day operations, including emergency preparedness, facilities, school meals, and purchasing. He holds a BA degree in American Studies and an MBA with a concentration in project management. |
Darryl Nash, Managing Director, Marketing & Communications BIO
ICEF’s MD of Marketing and Communications designs brand content and strategy for the purpose of enhancing community awareness and, ultimately, increased student enrollment. Darryl comes to ICEF in May 2024, to lead a newly-formed team focused on marketing, enrollment, and signature programs. Prior to joining ICEF, Darryl has been responsible for developing brand and marketing strategies for numerous non profit agencies including healthcare and city government, and most recently completed a six-year tenure as Director of Marketing & Communications with the United States Tennis Association. There, he led a team which focused on brand management, social media, website development, special event production, and print/digital collateral, and was responsible for comprehensive annual marketing strategic plan and budget. |
