About Us
.
ICEF View Park Preparatory High School is a tuition-free College Preparatory high school,  with A-G requirements for grades 9th-12th in the South region of Los Angeles, California, United States. Our school first opened its doors in 2003, we are a small campus with a population of 600 or fewer students to give our students a more personal learning experience.

ICEF Public Schools pursue the same core mission: to prepare students to attend and compete at the top colleges and universities in the nation. Our culture of high expectations focuses all students and teachers on maximizing academic achievement.

We have implemented an SAT Prep course that all Juniors are required to take, along with a Senior Seminar course designed to support students with applying to colleges, completing scholarship applications, and overall preparation for college life and post-high school life.

The Arts at ICEF VPPHS

The arts program at ICEF dedicates itself to building skills in innovation, cultural relevance, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Through Arts coursework and experiences, we build creators, performers, and confidence in our students.
ICEF's college-ready model includes our unique "3 As" approach in ACADEMICS, ARTS and ATHLETICS. We believe these opportunities greatly enrich the lives of our students and prepare them for success in a diverse society.

August Wilson Monologue Regional Finalists
.

Our students continue to shine throughout the August Wilson Monologue Competition. Chazaiah Johnson and Hazel Eko of View Park Prep High School are 2 of the 5 Los Angeles Regional Finalists for the nationwide August Wilson Monologue Competition. Typically these five perform at the Mark Taper Forum in DTLA for a panel of industry professionals and celebrities. In past years, finalists then proceed to perform at The August Wilson Theater on Broadway in New York City. A round of applause for Chazaiah, Hazel, and our Performing Arts Program Coordinator, Mr. Fish!

Our Students Continue to Create During Virtual Learning
.
All ICEF students in grades TK-12 had the opportunity to pick up individual art kits that included a variety of art materials and media for them to use at home. These kits included basic and specialized art supplies including watercolors, markers, origami paper, and more.
The purchasing of these kits was made possible with the support of The Los Angeles County Arts Ed Collective.

In Introduction to Art at ICEF View Park HS, students engage in a research-based visual arts project. In their sketchbooks, students create drawings and collages to capture their subject matter of choice and answer the self-reflection questions.
